France is the main destination for Spanish moves: Paris, Lyon, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Marseille and Nice attract students, workers and families. The route is direct, but city access and tolls can raise the price if they are not planned.
Main routes
Madrid–Paris is about 1,270 km via Burgos, San Sebastián and Irún. Madrid–Lyon is around 1,140 km and Madrid–Marseille 1,060 km along the coast. Toulouse is about 900 km and Bordeaux 950 km. Expect 2–3 days with safe stops in Irún, Bordeaux and Lyon.
Tolls and access
France has a dense toll network. We include an estimate for motorways and tunnels. Central Paris has low-emission zones and limited parking; Lyon's Croix-Rousse has slopes and narrow streets. Marseille and Nice require loading bay reservations.
What it costs
For 15–25 m³, the indicative range including VAT is €1,900–3,600. Volume, groupage and extras (packing, assembly, floors) all matter. Use the distance calculator.
What to bring and what to leave
Large furniture often costs more to move than to replace. For a small Paris flat, consider selling or storing what will not fit. Appliances work at 220 V, but check plugs and building rules. Bedding and fragile kitchenware travel best packed by room.
